What is chiptuning?
Chiptuning is a program change of car engine parameters. It makes our car obtain more power and torque, and in fact increases the level of your safety while driving the car, thereby reducing fuel consumption.

Why is this possible?
Passenger cars are equipped with an engine control unit (ECU). Programmed by the manufacturer to control the engine in all conditions that may occur during operation. The controller is programmed so that the engine's durability is the best, but not so as to use the potential of the power unit and reduce combustion. What is the reason for this ?
Very few car users care for timely inspections, filter changes and oil. Refueling of poor quality fuel and driving with a damaged engine are a common situation. As a warning, car manufacturers underestimate its efficiency and performance to reduce the risk of damage caused by improper operation by about 3%.
During the approval tests, the car's fuel consumption must be as low as possible - only for speeds of 50 and 70 mph. What about the rest of the engine RPM range? What about combustion at 80 mph or 40 mph? Underestimations of revolutions are created, which reduce the engine's flexibility.

In the "tuner" sense it is a change of maps in the car's ECU responsible for engine control. During the modification, we change the external content of the program called eeprom and flash.
To sum up, the method of chip tuning is not important for the effects we require - it is important to tune the program and its perfect development, rather than the methods of entering it into the controller (through the OBD connector or directly by soldering into the memory of the BDM controller, whether in BOOT MODE or BENCH MODE).
As for the desired effect, tuning can be divided into Stage 1, 2 and 3. Stage 1 is a safe modification, which involves changing the software in the engine controller without replacing the mechanical parts. Such "tuning for everyday driving".
